Armidale Eisteddfod SocietyThe Armidale Eisteddfod includes events in all areas of music as well as speech and drama. The premier event of the Eisteddfod is the New England Championship, which will be held this year at 1 pm on Sunday 1 June 2008 The 2008 Eisteddfod will be held from Wednesday 14 May until Thursday 5 June 2008, with the Gala Concert on Sunday, 15 June 2008. Printed programs are now available to download for all sections of the Eisteddfod. These are PDF files which are accessible from "Coming Events" pages on this web site (links at bottom of this page). Raw 2008 program information for entire Eisteddfod is also available to view or download (see link below). This is an Excel spreadsheet which has one line for each event. For each event code there is session date and time, and running order, event detail, and competitors. We suggest that you download this file. You can then search by event code or competitor name, for example, to find out when an event will be held or what events a competitor is in. (This information is subject to change - check with Section coordinators for changes). Most Eisteddfod sessions are held at the Old Teachers' College, cnr Dangar and Mossman Streets, Armidale.
