To this end, we will build on our existing strengths in business, research, information technology, environmental management and agriculture and continue to develop and market Armidale Dumaresq as a strong regional centre. We will strive to build a strong and diverse economic base for our community by exploring all avenues of opportunity as they arise.
Armidale Dumaresq will value its citizens as its greatest assets and we will provide for them a caring, safe and healthy environment where they can develop to their full potential. We will seek to ensure equitable access to services, employment, education, sport and recreational opportunities for all, regardless of age or disadvantage.
Real improvements to Armidale Dumaresq's services and amenities to ensure our Region has safe roads and transport, deals with social problems appropriately and is responsive to the community's needs. Armidale Dumaresq is already distinguished by its historic buildings, museums, sports and arts facilities, and by the activities associated with them. We will strive to maintain superior facilities and programs, accessible to all, in music, theater, dance, visual arts, literature and sport.
Diligent attention will be given to our community conscience to ensure it will be one of openness, tolerance, communication and coordination. A sense of mutual respect and responsibility will govern our relationships with one another.
