Economic Development Committee
The recently formed Economic Development Committee is in the process of formulating its strategy for the future.
Following is the Draft Strategy and public comment is welcome.
Economic Development Strategy - Southern New England
(Armidale Dumaresq, Guyra, Uralla and Walcha)
Through the Economic Development Committee, the strategy includes:
- Supporting the growth of existing businesses
- Promoting existing strengths in livestock industries, education, arts and culture and retailing
- Building new business clusters in health, steel fabrication, information technology, environmental management, business services and agribusiness
- Promoting Armidale and its businesses into new markets and attracting new residents
- Informing businesses and the community on new developments and opportunities
